I have just finished watching the 8mm cine films that you converted to MP4 digital and thought it would be churlish of me to not email you and thank you for your work.
They triggered some marvellous memories – and a few dewy eyes!
There was one coincidence that really stood out. My brother took a few minutes of a wedding back in about 1963 and managed to capture footage of a gentleman who is now a resident in the same care home where my mother stays!
On the down side I think I may have sold/thrown away a load of films!!
There were films in the boxes marked “Donald Duck”, “Laurel and Hardy” etc so I put them in an auction along with the broken projector. To see the same films on one of the spliced 200/300 foot reels makes me wonder if the films in the boxes were home made ones!
Ah well, that’s life and we should be grateful for small mercies! I am still looking forward to showing the films around the family.

Just to let you know that our MP4 digital 8mm cine film files and DVDs arrived safely. I watched them yesterday and was delighted.
The quality is excellent. I’m sure my mum will love them.
