Parcel arrived safely. DVDs great, it’s amazing, those films had been in the loft for 50 years.
Dad didn’t have much idea about filming, he just pointed the camera and pressed the button!!
Still he captured some lovely memories. Do you keep a master copy? Some of the family might want copies of some of the reels.
Is it possible to transfer some of the reels onto a separate DVD? (not all of the reels will be of interest to other members of the family).

I got my DVDs and digital files yesterday.
They were much better than I expected.
My hovercraft film brings back memories of my almost fatal accident on Loch Earn in Perthshire.
I will start to look for my other 8mm films, and would have no hesitation sending them to you for tranfer.

I’ve been meaning to email to say thank you for such a great job transferring my Grandad’s cine film to DVD and HD digital format.
I was amazed at the lovely colour and quality!
I couldn’t stop watching them, so wonderful to see both my Nan and Grandad young (well, in their 60s) healthy and happy on their holidays,
not to mention our lovely ponies and dogs who have long since departed.
There was stuff on there I don’t remember seeing before but I also realised there was some missing, that I was expecting to see.
I was puzzled for a while but then found another big reel and a couple of smaller ones! So I can’t wait to get these done as well, can I bring them over to you?
I’ve decided to give the DVD copies I’ve already had done to my Mum and Sister for Christmas,
my neice is the same age now, as her mum is in the films, that’ll be sooo amazing for her.
So I’d also like another copy of the 2 DVDs you’ve already done please, so I have a copy for myself too.

I have to say I could hardly bear to look at the short bit of cine film in which I appeared, all short hair and short trousers,
with my plastic Elvis guitar-my pride and joy on my 12th birthday a few weeks earlier.
About 10 minutes after the shot my niece, only 2 1/2, bless her, dropped half a brick on it. Memories, memories!
I will have a look through the rest of my late father’s stuff (about 5,000 feet) and see if I can put together some more memorable material.

You have improved the two photos enormously, the faces are much more visible now and I should be able to match them with people in slightly later photos.

This is just to say a big thank you for converting the whole of my Dads Cine collection.
You have done a fantastic job, and it is great to see all the old 8mm footage in such a modern form. I hope that more people will take the opportunity to do this, as it is well worth it.
